Karl had military/police background before studying physiotherapy, graduating in 1998. He initially worked locally within the NHS, before entering private practice in 2000.

Throughout his career, he has spent time living & working between the UK & South Africa.

His sporting interests include rugby, martial arts, & clay pigeon shooting, & his main clinical interests are sports injuries, knee problems and spinal dysfunction. He has a very ‘hands-on’ approach in treating his patients and uses a wide variety of specialised techniques including the Graston Technique, dry needling & manipulation to help achieve his goal of longterm functional improvement, allowing his patients to be able to better self manage their problem.

Since 2020, he has also re-entered the NHS, on a part-time basis, working as the Lead Physiotherapist within a mental health setting.
