Jane has been part of the Scorpio clinics team since 2006 and qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist at the University of East London in 1998. She has been working in private practice for 21 years, including a stint working alongside personal trainers in Holmes Place gym. She currently works at both the Virginia Water clinic and at the Lightwater GP surgery where she works closely alongside the GP’s there.

Jane has several main areas of special interest: sports injuries, sacroiliac joint and low back pain caused by prolapsed discs or muscle spasm, knee pain (particularly rehabilitation following injury), neck problems and headaches, including whiplash injuries and posture related issues.

Jane has been a qualified Women’s Health Physiotherapist for 20 years. She assesses and treats weak pelvic floors, urine incontinence, prolapse and bladder problems. She uses the Myoplus EMG biofeedback which gives accurate readings for the pelvic floor strength and can be used for retraining the muscles. She also treats injuries and discomforts associated with pregnancy. Jane works closely with Nick Elkington - our local gynaecological consultant.

Jane also specialises in ergonomics and carries out assessments of the work-station in the office and at home. She can make adjustments to minimise stresses and strains on the body and can give advice on specialist ergonomic equipment and appropriate exercises. A full written report can also be provided. (speak to receptionists for more information and prices)

Jane favours a ‘hands on’ approach to treatment to help reduce the acute symptoms and underlying cause, along with preventative and self-help advice and exercises to prevent recurrence. Her treatments include joint mobilisations including the PIM method and Robbie Goodrum manipulation, Graston Technique, Sarah Key method, myofascial release, acupuncture, dry needling, cupping, shockwave therapy, Winback tecartherapy, biomechanical correction, muscle energy techniques and Pilates.
